1.  What are Tokens?

For information about Tokens, please refer to Campus Usage > Hostel Token System. Please note that tokens purchased cannot be refunded in any case.

2. Where should I go in order to purchase Tokens?

You can buy tokens with cash at the hostel counters/ college offices or with EPS/ Hang Seng Credit Card at self-services token top-up machines. You are encouraged to use the self-service terminals because its opening hours are much longer, and the locations are more convenient. And tokens purchased cannot be refunded in any case.

Please also not that due to accounting issues, tokens purchased at one college could only be spent at the hostels of the same college. That means, for example, tokens purchased at CC cannot be used at NA.

For the location list please refer to Campus Usage > Hostel Token System > Topping up your CU Link

3. Why is CU Link PIN required when spending Tokens at the card readers?

Some colleges may require a CU Link PIN for spending tokens. Therefore, you have to authenticate yourself before you can use the Tokens to avoid the situation that anyone who picks up the card can use it at will.

4. The chip on my CU Link failed. Can I transfer the unused Tokens to my new card?

If the chip related to Token storage fails, we are not able to transfer the Tokens to your new card as the remaining value could not be retrieved.

5. Error occurs when I am using hostel facilities, why does that happen?

Please refer to Help Corner > Malfunctioning or Locked Card
