The mentorship programme brings together students and alumni in a one-to-one relationship. The pairing of mentor and mentee is arranged randomly. On an individual level, mentees are encouraged to take the initiative to approach their mentors. On a programme level, the Department organizes group activities such as tea parties, dinners, and talks.
The main objectives of the programme are as follows:
- To establish fruitful and meaningful relationships between mentors and mentees of JAS
- To expand the social network among JAS alumni and current students
- To allow students to benefit from the advice, insights, and guidance of alumni in their areas of study, career development, interpersonal skills, and other life challenges
- To provide a channel to enable alumni to maintain close ties and contribute to their alma mater.
