As in previous years, the Department of Japanese organized an OB dinner for its alumni, students and staff. This year, the dinner was held in the evening of 11 December at Chung Chi Staff Club. On this occasion, three of our final-year students made presentations to share their experiences of their exchange life in Japan. The highlight of this evening was an amazing magic show, performed by our graduate, Mr. Alex HUI. ![]() Opening speech by Prof. Lynne NAKANO, Chair of the Department of Japanese Studies ![]() Mr. WONG Siu Kei, presented his research topic, ‘Japanese Homelessness’ ![]() Miss Arki CHAN presented, ‘A Happy New Year in Japan’ ![]() Miss Julianna TSANG shared her unique part-time working experience in Japan ![]() Magic show, performed by Mr. Alex HUI, our alumnus ![]() Encore for magic show! ![]() Group Photo The dinner was a success and we believe everyone had an enjoyable night. The Department hopes that by holding this kind of alumni activity, a close tie between alumni and students can be established. Moreover, the Department expects that students may benefit from the sharing of their senpai on this joyful occasion.
