Application Method
You may either apply on-line or download a paper application form.
Applicants must not submit more than one application form or their application will be annulled.
Supporting Documents
The following supporting documents are required and should be submitted together with the application as far as possible.
(i) Copy of HKID Card/ Passport/ Dependant Visa
(ii) Copies of Academic Transcripts and Public Examination Results and other credentials.
(iii) Offer letter for admission from recognized university to which you have been offered admission for 2013 entry, where applicable.
(iv) Recommendation of an Academic Referee (in a sealed enveloper), if not sent directly to the Office by the Referee
(v) Payment of application fee
Application fee
You will need to pay a Non-refundable application fee (the online application fee is HK$300 and the paper application fee is HK$400 for 2013 entry) :
- via ON-LINE payment by either VISA or MASTERCARD (available for ON-LINE Application ONLY), OR
- download the Authorisation of credit card payment form and send us the original of the completed and signed form by post, OR
- a bank draft or bank cheque (in Hong Kong dollars, drawn on a bank in Hong Kong) made payable to "The Chinese University of Hong Kong" (Please write your name, application number (if already known) and contact number on the back of the bank draft / bank cheque), OR
- via ATM machine in Hong Kong at the Hang Seng Bank (account number: 293-005005-010) and send us the original receipt of payment (please write your name and contact number on the back).
Advance Offer
Applicants who wish to receive advance offer for admission may submit their applications on or before 15 November 2012.
Applications received on or before the stipulated date will receive early consideration and those with particularly outstanding academic results or other achievements will be short-listed for early decisions. Those who are selected and offered a place under Advanced Offer will be notified as from December 2012 to February 2013.
Applicants who are not offered a place under Advanced Offer will compete on an equal footing with all other applicants again in the regular selection exercise, the application deadline of which is 6 February 2013.

Application Status
Applicants should check the status of their applications from late November 2012 onwards or four weeks after the submission of application, whichever is later.
